Ebru TV, a small, award-winning cable network is hiring anchors for a new a new daily, morning newscast. This is a part-time, per diem position at our television studios in Somerset, NJ. Hours are 5 AM - 9 AM.

All candidates must have STRONG writing skills, responsibilities include writing stories, lead-ins, cues and bridges as requested by supervisor, supervise editing of video in conjunction with news stories, contribute story ideas for daily broadcast, research stories, as well as specific skills listed under each position. All candidates must have journalism background, at least 3 years experience.

ANCHOR
An extensive background in television news with strong on-air communication skills. Background as a reporter. A strong writer. Successful anchors demonstrate an ability to think on their feet, ask probing questions, and deal with high-pressure situations with ease and grace. Voice quality is very important. Curiosity and a natural rapport with people on all income and educational levels are important. Must develop story ideas for coverage as well as take directions from the desk. Must have the ability to gather information quickly, conduct interviews and prepare stories for air. Must have strong critical thinking skills and the ability to ask tough and insightful questions. Must be a team player.
